Steel Her Heart Necklace

I just finished this batch of heart necklaces. They are about 2" wide, and are forged out of 1/4" round steel stock, and have recycled glass bead accents. Hanging on adjustable waxed cotton cord, these necklaces are very versatile, and will look great on a variety of necklines. Steel has been coated with wax to protect it from rust, but should be kept away from water if possible. No hot tubbing in these babies!

Bangles

I have been on a little bracelet binge the last few days. I REALLY like the bangles. They are crafted from steel. I weld them together, and give them a slightly hammered texture. When I showed them to my 11 year old, he said they were magic bracelets. I believe we are all intuitive on some level, whether we know it or not, so I did not take this comment lightly. When I asked him why they were magic, he told me because when you're wearing them, you can have anything you want.
On that note, I have decided to call them Intention Bangles. With different colors and symbols, these bracelets can be used as meditiation tools, reminding the wearer to focus on what is desired in their life, enabling the manifestation of those desires.
I am offering some general suggestions for the colors and symbols, but you may interpret them any way you want. Pink is representative of love, while green is for growth or abundance. The 'eye' beads are a symbol of protection. $20.00 with one bead charm.

Black and white can represent balance(yin/yang). These colors can also be seen in the silver/steel combo. $35.00 with one bead charm and wrapped silver.

Blue is a nice peaceful color, and can help to focus one's attention on CALM. Brown is grounding, and also a combination of colors. $40.00 with three bead charms and silver accents. $25.00 with just the bead accents. I can spread them evenly around the bangle too.

The moon can represent many things. Female energy is just one thing that comes to mind.
$55.00 with five bead charms and one silver moon charm.

Again, the puzzle piece, which is the logo for Autism Awareness, but can also mean many other things for the wearer..putting one's life together, mysteries of life, or I like jigsaw puzzles :-)
$55.00 with five bead charms and one silver puzzle charm.

I also made some bangles with no charms that look awesome stacked together, or in combination with the charmed bangles. Plain steel bangles are $15.00 each. Yes, I said $15.00!!! With the silver accents, they're $35.00 each OMG Can you stand it? I love being able to make affordable art!

I coat the steel with wax to prevent rusting, and it will also prevent tarnish on the silver. The steel makes a great jingling sound with the silver. The first time I wore one, I kept thinking the cat was nearby with his jingling tags...;-)
Specific colors are not necessary. I will be happy to creat a fabulous combo just for you!

Bridges for Autism Foundation

A long time friend of mine has a child with autism, and started a Foundation to support families with children who share this mysterious, and often misunderstood condition. The puzzle piece is a symbol for autism. i have designed some sterling sliver puzzle piece necklaces to support these families, and The Bridges for Autism Foundation. For each necklace purchased, I will donate $20.00 from the purchase price of $40.00 to the Bridges for Autism Foundation. For more info on the Foundation, visit their site at http://www.bridgesforautismfoundation.org/.
Each necklace is a one of a kind puzzle piece, 1"-1.5", and hangs on a stainless stee ball chain, 16" or 18" long. I make each one different, just like each child is an individual, but they all share a common material...

background

So, when I'm posting, I have to work backwards, but today I forgot about that. These are a few of the photos I took today with a different background than the post after this, which I actually took first. I like this background better, but I can't do group shots because I have to hang the pieces. I will stay behind the camera for a little longer.... BRDPDSM2 Beach rock on top and red rock on the bottom. $65.00 each
This silver flower is fabricated out of square wire that I bend, cut, solder, file and sand, until it all comes together. It's strung on a leather cord with recycled glass beads from Africa as accents. The color choices hang above the necklace, and are from left to right: Bright blue, Bali blue, light blue, light brown, dark brown, green, and black. Real life colors will vary from the computer screen, but they are all nice, and slightly more subdued. WFPD-$45.00 also avaliable on a silver ball chain without beads for $60.00. 1.25" dia.

Descriptions of these pendants can be found in the the next post. I had to shoot with the different background though.

These too, are in the older post next to this one.

Silver and Stones

Well, it's been quite awhile since I posted any work. I guess I've been slacking on photo taking, and concentrating more on making the jewelry. Anyway, I have spent the past couple days photographing some work. The following pictures were intended for a catalog, so I was doing some group shots. I'm not happy enough with them to spend $$$ on having them printed, but they will do for the blog. Here is another Rock Goddess. They have been quite popular. This one is going to The Enchantment Resort in Sedona. She is 4" long, with a Sedona red rock head and an Alaska rock body. I create them by selecting the shapes that go the best together, with one usually being a red rock. Each one is truly unique, and has her own distinct personality. OKGPD-$175.00
I stamp ROCK GODDESS on the back, unless someone wants a different message.

These are what I call Landscape Pendants. They are all One fo a Kind, but have the same general theme. The size and shape of the stones dictates the size and shape of the piece, but I keep them in a relatively uniform size range. These ones are 1.5 inches long. I use a variety of rocks, including Sedona red rocks, rocks from Jerome and other AZ locations, and Lake Michigan beach rocks. I will select a fabulous combination for you or you may specify a general color combo. OKLPDSM-$175.00

These pendants have been really popular all over the place! They are on the smaller side, about 1"-1.5" in diameter, and hang on sterling ball chains. I stamp various little messages on the back, like: LOVE, PEACE, NOW, or my personal fave-ROCK ON. Kinda punny, huh :-) The shapes and colors of the rocks vary greatly, but you may specify red rocks, dark or light beach rocks. I would be thrilled to put a personal message or name on one for you! Click on the photos to enlarge them. The codes for these BSRPDSM2 and BSRPDSM1. 2 is for the rectangular rays, and 1 is for the triangular rays. $65.00 each

These necklaces have also been good sellers. They are bigger than the ones above, but still are nice for every day wear. The suns range in size from 1.75"-2.5". With more room on the back, I stamp longer messages: PEACE LOVE SUNSHINE, LET YOUR SOUL SHINE , LIVE OUT LOUD, etc... They are strung on a leather cord, about 18" long. I also include various bead accents. I have a good assortment of beads(I always include recycled glass from Africa), black and brown leather, and usually pick what I feel like on any given day. The color of the rocks help me choose. You may specify a general color theme and I will make it happen in a beautiful way. $95.00 each. Oh the codes are BSRPD2 and BSRPD1.

These bracelets are really comfy to wear, because the connecting jumprings lay flat against your wrist. Messages are stamped on each stone, so I try and stick with a theme. EARTH AIR FIRE WATER LOVE, LIVE LOVE LAUGH DREAM CREATE, LIFE IS NOW.
BSRLB1 is on the top with five stones about .75"-1" wide. $250.00
BSRMNLB1 is slghtly smaller, with three stones about.5"-.75" wide. $175.00

The above earrings are all available with either red rocks or beach rocks(light or dark).
Top left: BSRE2JRSP $125.00 about 2.5"long
Top right: BSRE2L $90.00 about 1.5" long
Middle: BSRE1 $85.00 1"-1.5" long
Bottom two: BSRE1SP $110.00 about 2" long

This was the first group shot I took, with a little bit of everything. It gives you a little idea of scale.
Please remember that each piece of jewelry is handcrafted by me, and the stones are used the way I find them, so they are truly one of a kind. All the sun rays are individually cut and soldered onto the custom made stone setting, then filed and sanded smooth. All the silver is given a satin finish, which gives the jewelry a soft look, complimenting the stones nicely.

Feedback is always appreciated, on the work and the photos!
